Just as Jesus explained in Luke 24 how all Scripture points to himself, this class goes through a chronological survey of the Bible, from Adam through the resurrection of Jesus, showing the unity of God's story of redemption. Both simple enough for someone who has never opened a Bible, and clarifying for the long-time Bible reader. There is a course fee of $10 for the book The Stranger On The Road To Emmaus.

Many Christians struggle with life-changing and everyday decisions while trying fervently to find God's will, yet often times God seems to be silent. This class examines how God speaks to us and guides our decisions.
Sessions: 4Men, you’ve been lied to – long and often. In our culture today, church is for wimps and living for Jesus is effeminate. What happened to the men we read about in Scripture who fought lions by hand, defended their homeland, committed their lives to the power of the gospel, and turned cities upside down for Christ? How do we define biblical masculinity? What does it take to be a biblical husband and father? This class will help to answer these questions and give you theologically informed practices to live out your calling as a man.
Sessions: 3
Instructor: Steve Sommerlot
Start date: September 28
"Help my unbelief" said a man to Jesus in Mark 9 and Jesus then gave him more evidence. Both Christians and non-Christians have doubts about the faith. This class sets out to contest those doubts, affirm that faith is not blind, and show Christians how to respond to their own doubts and the doubts of others. A survey of worldviews and world religions will be followed by common objections to the faith and rational explanations of the faith.
Sessions: 4A one session class to complement the Membership class, this time is spent going through Riverview's Beliefs by explaining each part in detail, presenting other views, and explaining the reasoning behind Riverview's beliefs.
Sessions: 1If you’re interested in becoming a member and deepening your commitment to the local church, this class will help you understand what Riverview is all about, why we do what we do, and what it means to be a Christian. Childcare and lunch is provided as this class runs from 11:30 to 2ish.
